The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has achieved a historic milestone by collecting N21.6 trillion in revenue for 2024, surpassing its initial target of N19.4 trillion. This was disclosed by the Executive Chairman, Dr. Zacch Adedeji, during the 2025 Strategic Management Retreat in Abuja.

Dr. Adedeji attributed the success to resilience, professionalism, and a strategic focus on technology, people, and processes. He emphasized that FIRS is not just a revenue collection agency but a key driver of national development, enabling the government to deliver critical infrastructure and social services.
