House of Representatives Appoints Children of Former Governors to Chair Key Committees, Stirring Controversy and Scrutiny

In a recent plenary session, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, unveiled the constitution of 134 standing committees, generating significant attention due to the appointment of five children of former governors as Chairmen of prominent committees. Adegboyega Adefarati, also from the APC, will take charge of the Labour, Employment, and Productivity committee, representing Ondo State. Olamiju Akala from Oyo will be heading the Youth in Parliament committee, while Olumide Osoba from Ogun will lead the Justice committee.
