The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is inviting applications from eligible Nigerian candidates for its Overseas Scholarship Scheme for the 2023/2024 academic session. The program offers the opportunity for qualified candidates to benefit from diverse knowledge and world-class facilities at selected institutions in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Malaysia.
The scholarship is available for both Masters and PhD programs. Successful applicants will receive benefits such as flight tickets, health insurance, tuition and bench fees payment, and allowances to cater for accommodation and living expenses.

Eligibility Requirements for 2023/2024 PTDF Scholarship
To be eligible for the Masters program, applicants must have a minimum of Second Class Upper (2.1) qualification in their first degree or a Second Class Lower (2.2) with relevant industry experience. Also, they must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC), be computer literate, possess five O/level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, and provide a statement of purpose stating the relevance of the proposed study to the industry and its expected impact on national development. Applicants must also have a National Identity Number (NIN) and undergo verification before applying for the scholarship.
For the PhD program, applicants must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC), be computer literate, have a minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2) in their first degree and a good second-degree certificate. They are also required to submit a research proposal relevant to the oil and gas industry and produce a letter from their Vice Chancellors confirming that they are not in receipt of any other scholarships (if shortlisted). Applicants must have a National Identity Number (NIN) and undergo verification before applying for the scholarship.
Applicants are required to scan and attach copies of their degree certificates, NYSC discharge certificate, WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO results, recent passport photograph, local government identification letter, and evidence of membership in professional associations to their online application forms.
