The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was conducted nationwide on Thursday, April 10, 2025. This announcement provides relief to thousands of candidates who participated in the mock exam, which is designed to prepare them for the main UTME coming up later in the year.

Over 200,000 Registered, Only 126,181 Sat for the Exam
According to JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, a total of 200,113 candidates were registered for the optional mock test after two applicants initially withdrew their interest. However, not all candidates were present on the day of the examination. 73,844 candidates were absent, while 88 others could not sit for the test due to biometric verification failure, bringing the number of successful participants to 126,181.
Of these, the results of 115,735 candidates have already been processed and released, while 10,446 results are still being finalized and will be available soon.
Why JAMB Conducts Mock UTME
The mock examination serves multiple purposes. Primarily, it helps JAMB to test and fine-tune new technological upgrades before the main UTME. It also allows candidates to get familiar with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system, reducing anxiety and technical confusion during the actual exam.
“This optional mock examination was designed to test the Board’s annual innovations and provide candidates with an opportunity to experience the CBT environment,” JAMB stated in an official release.
The Board also acknowledged that some candidates experienced delays during the mock due to new features introduced for better exam coordination. JAMB expressed regret for the inconvenience and thanked both candidates and parents for their patience.

JAMB has simplified the process for checking your mock result. To view your result:

- Use only the phone number you used during your JAMB registration.
You will receive an instant message with your mock score once your result is available.
How to Print Your 2025 JAMB Examination Slip
Candidates are advised to start printing their JAMB main exam slips in preparation for the upcoming UTME. The slip contains crucial information such as your examination date, time, and center.
Here’s how to print it:
- Visit the official JAMB slip printing portal:
