The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed that parents or guardians found loitering at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers during the exam period will be arrested. The directive takes effect from today, Friday.
This decision was made after JAMB observed parents causing trouble during exams. They want to prevent this from happening again, so they consulted CBT center owners and decided to take action.
If a parent breaks this rule, their child won’t be allowed to take the exam either. JAMB wants to make sure no one can cheat during the UTME.

Some people pretend to be parents and cheat during exams. To stop this, security will work closely with CBT centers.
JAMB also reminds everyone that students taking the UTME must be at least 17 years old. Having parents at exam centers can make things unfair and hurt the credibility of the exam.
JAMB is serious about keeping the UTME fair for everyone and asks everyone to cooperate.
