JUST IN: Hisbah Bans Nightclubs in Katsina

The Katsina State Hisbah Board has announced a statewide ban on nightclub activities, citing concerns over morality and security.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hisbah Commander-General Aminu Usman (Abu Ammar) stated that all nightclub operators must cease operations immediately to curb immoral practices and uphold societal values in line with Islamic teachings.

“The board has warned that violators will face strict penalties. Security agencies have been directed to ensure full compliance with this order,” Usman said.

He emphasized that the decision aligns with Hisbah’s ongoing efforts to maintain peace, security, and moral standards in the state. Relevant security agencies, including the Commissioner for Internal Security, have been notified to enforce the directive effectively.
