Kebbi State Appoints 21 New Local Government Secretaries to Strengthen Administration

The Kebbi State government has approved the appointment of 21 new secretaries for its local government councils, a move aimed at boosting the efficiency and effectiveness of local governance across the state.

This decision was confirmed in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Nasir Idris, Alhaji Ahmed Idris, on Monday in Birnin Kebbi. The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, officially announced the appointments in a letter addressed to the newly assigned secretaries.

The appointees include Muhammad Aliero for Aliero Local Government Council, Zainab Kangiwa for Arewa, Lawali Target for Argungu, and Dallatu Muhammad for Augie. Other notable appointees are Mohammed Gawamba for Bagudo, Ahmed Zauro for Birnin Kebbi, and Mohammed Umar Bunza for Bunza council.

Further appointments include Abdulkadir Kamba for Dandi, Rabi’u Bena for Danko Wasagu, Aliyu Abubakar for Fakai, Aliyu Dalijan for Gwandu, and Sabi’u Jandutse for Jega. Umar Sama’ila has been named secretary for Kalgo, while Suleiman Koko will serve Besse. Buhari Bawa is assigned to Maiyama, Aliyu Libata to Ngaski, Aliyu Diri to Sakaba, and Aminiu Arzuka to Shanga councils.

Other key appointments feature Abdullahi Kwakware for Suru, Nasiru Dantani for Yauri, and AbdurRahman Manga for Zuru Local Government Councils.

In his message to the appointees, the SSG encouraged them to dedicate themselves to serving the state diligently, emphasizing their critical role in supporting the current administration’s goals and contributing to Kebbi’s overall development.

This recent appointment is part of ongoing efforts by Governor Nasir Idris to enhance governance and service delivery at the grassroots level across Kebbi State.
