Kebbi State Government Trains 200 Social Media Influencers for Effective Service Delivery

In a significant move to enhance the dissemination of information and foster transparency, the Kebbi State Government has commenced a two-day capacity building and excellence management training for 200 social media operatives and information managers. This initiative underscores the state’s commitment to leveraging digital platforms for optimal service delivery and productivity.

The training workshop was inaugurated in Sokoto by Yakubu Ahmed, the Kebbi State Commissioner of Information and Culture. In his opening remarks, Ahmed highlighted the crucial role that skills and knowledge play in effectively disseminating information and promoting developmental projects under Governor Nasir Idris’s administration. He stated, “This training demonstrates the government’s commitment to capacity building and excellence in information management.” Ahmed emphasized the importance of participants actively engaging, learning, and re-learning to maximize the benefits of the intensive training sessions.

The primary aim of the program is to equip journalists with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage and disseminate information effectively in the digital age. This is crucial for ensuring that the narrative of Kebbi State’s progress is accurately and effectively communicated to the public. Shuaibu Mungadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prime Image Global Services, assured the trainees that the training would be both memorable and impactful, given the esteemed resources assembled for the event. He emphasized the importance of this training in today’s fast-paced digital environment.

Dahiru Hassan-Kera, Managing Director of Prime Image Global Services, described the training as both important and timely. He noted that Governor Nasir Idris has consistently demonstrated an awareness of the vital role that media plays in promoting good governance through open, accountable, and transparent leadership.

This training initiative reflects a broader strategy by the Kebbi State Government to ensure that its information managers are well-equipped to handle the challenges of the digital age, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of its service delivery.
