Kebbi State Sets Date for Local Government Elections

In a bid to uphold democratic principles and ensure effective grassroots governance, the Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission (KESIEC) has announced the date for the highly anticipated local government elections. According to a statement released by the State Electoral Commission headquarters in Birnin Kebbi, the elections are scheduled to take place on the 31st of August, 2024.

The forthcoming elections will witness the participation of candidates vying for positions of chairmanship and councillorship across the 21 local government areas of Kebbi State. With 21 seats for local government chairmen and 225 councillor positions up for grabs, the electoral landscape is poised for significant political engagement and representation.

Prospective candidates and stakeholders are encouraged to obtain nomination forms and relevant documents from the KESIEC Secretariat located in Birnin Kebbi.
