Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has reaffirmed his commitment to fortifying the party’s state chapters as part of its strategy for the upcoming local government and 2027 general elections. During his official visit to the NNPP secretariat in Osogbo, Osun State, on Friday, Kwankwaso underscored the importance of building a formidable party structure capable of outperforming other political parties in future elections
Addressing the party members through a three-man delegation, Kwankwaso emphasized that the NNPP would continue to expand its political reach across Nigeria, stating that the party is ready to tackle the challenges ahead of the 2027 elections. He expressed satisfaction with the progress reports from various states, particularly Osun, where efforts are being made to strengthen local leadership and mobilize grassroots support.
“Reports from states like Osun give me immense joy. We are fully aware of the obstacles on the road to 2027, but we are well-prepared,” Kwankwaso said. “The NNPP is committed to lifting Nigerians out of the current economic hardship, caused by decades of leadership that has deliberately impoverished citizens.”
Kwankwaso also revealed that the NNPP has been actively mobilizing people nationwide and equipping state secretariats with essential resources, including vehicles, to enhance the party’s operations and outreach efforts. The party’s goal is to become a major force in the 2027 general elections.
Represented by Dr. Rahila Aliyu Mukhtar, Dr. Muhammad S. Khalil, and Alhaji Abdusalam Abdulateef, the delegation emphasized the need for vibrant state chapters to ensure effective administration and sustain the party’s influence as a key opposition player. The NNPP aims to position itself as a party that offers real solutions to Nigeria’s economic challenges.
In his remarks, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, the Osun State Chairman of NNPP, commended Kwankwaso for his dedication to the party and its members. He praised the efforts of Kwankwaso and his team in strengthening the party’s presence across the country. Odeyemi reaffirmed his commitment to working with the party’s leadership to make NNPP an attractive choice for voters in Osun State and beyond.
