Reliable information reaching the public indicates that the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) is in the final stages of releasing the long-awaited recruitment shortlist. According to credible internal sources, all procedures required for the 2025 recruitment exercise have already been concluded, and the names of successful candidates are ready.
The slight delay in the release is due to the ongoing High-Level Conference on Customs Partnership for African Cooperation in Trade, which is being hosted by the NCS from Monday, 17th to Wednesday, 19th November 2025. The leadership is expected to finalize all recruitment-related decisions once this important international engagement ends.
Based on current indications, the shortlist is likely to be released by Friday, 21st November 2025, or sometime in the following week. This aligns with the NCS recruitment structure, which follows phased procedures before public announcements are made.
The source added that the Service is working toward concluding all recruitment activities within this year so that successful candidates can resume training by January 2026. However, if the shortlist is not released between this week and next week, the new fallback date under consideration is 17th December 2025. In such a case, the training schedule may shift to the first week of May 2026.
Applicants are advised to remain calm, patient, and alert for official updates. The Nigeria Customs Service will publish the shortlist through its verified channels once the final approval is given.
