A gathering of Muslims in Zaria, Kaduna State came together for a special prayer seeking spiritual intervention amidst the current hardships faced by Nigerians. The special prayers took place at the Mallawa Eid praying ground in Zaria, with Muslim worshipers from various parts of the town in attendance.
Mallam Muhammadu Sani Labudda, the Chief Imam of Bakin Kasuwa Jumaat Mosque (Tudun Wada), led the special prayer, describing the present hardships as unbearable and in need of Allah’s intervention. The cleric emphasized the severity of the situation in the country, highlighting the necessity for collective prayers, especially with the prices of essential commodities skyrocketing as Muslim faithful approach the holy month of Ramadan.

Following the prayers, Suleiman Ibrahim, the Head of the Islamiyya schools association in Zaria, stated that this is a time for people to come together to strengthen their faith and improve their worship, aiming for Allah’s relief for the populace. Ibrahim encouraged Muslims to prioritize charitable acts towards the needy and less privileged, while also emphasizing the importance of repentance as a way to avoid sins.
Sheikh Muhammadu Dan Tine Habibi and Umar Dikko Mai shinkafa of Fitiyanul Islam Zaria underscored the wisdom and significance of conducting special prayers during times of unresolved challenges in society. Habibi urged Muslims to consistently fear Allah in all their actions and seek repentance for their sins as another means of attracting divine intervention.
