The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the extension of the recruitment application deadline by one week. The online application portal, which opened on March 12, was initially scheduled to close on April 8 but will now close on April 17, 2023.
According to the Director of Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the extension was approved by the NDLEA Chairman and Chief Executive, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (retd.) and was made to allow applicants who are facing challenges with the process to complete their application.
In a statement released by Babafemi, he stated that the extension would also provide an opportunity for individuals who are yet to sign up to take advantage of the extra days to fill their applications on the portal. He urged all interested applicants to utilize this opportunity to complete their application process before the new deadline.
The NDLEA recruitment exercise has been receiving massive attention from the public, with thousands of applicants vying for the available positions. The agency had earlier stated that it was looking to recruit about 5,000 personnel across various positions to strengthen its operations in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking in the country.
With the extension of the recruitment application deadline, more individuals will have the opportunity to apply and potentially secure a position with the NDLEA. Interested applicants are advised to visit the agency’s official website and complete their applications before the new deadline of April 17, 2023.
