NELFUND Commences Student Loan Applications for 36 State-Owned Universities Across Nigeria

BREAKING: NELFUND Postpones Student Loan Application for State Institutions

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has officially launched the application process for student loans across 36 state-owned tertiary institutions in Nigeria. This initiative, announced via NELFUND’s official communication channels on July 7, 2024, aims to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in these institutions.

According to NELFUND, the eligibility for student loans is extended to institutions that have successfully submitted their student data to the NELFUND Student Verification System (SVS). This system ensures the accuracy and verification of student information, crucial for the loan application process.

In a statement, NELFUND urged other state-owned tertiary institutions to promptly submit their complete student data to the SVS to ensure their students can benefit from this scheme. The initiative underscores NELFUND’s commitment to enhancing access to higher education through financial support, particularly in state-owned universities across Nigeria.
