Commissioned officers are those who have been granted a commission from the President of Nigeria, through the Nigerian Army Council. They are responsible for leading and managing the army’s operations and are the highest-ranking members of the Nigerian Army.
- Second Lieutenant: This is the entry-level rank for commissioned officers in the Nigerian Army. The salary range for this rank is between ₦120,000 to ₦180,000 per month.
- Lieutenant: The rank of lieutenant is higher than that of second lieutenant, and the salary range for this rank is between ₦180,000 to ₦220,000 per month.
- Captain: The rank of captain is higher than that of lieutenant, and the salary range for this rank is between ₦220,000 to ₦350,000 per month.
