Police Service Commission Debunks False Exam Date for Police Recruitment, Warns Against Scams

Nigerian Police Recruitment 2024 Exam Dates Update

In a recent press statement, the Police Service Commission (PSC) has officially refuted claims of an announced examination date for the ongoing recruitment of Constables into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). The Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, clarified that the Commission has not released any official examination date and urged applicants to disregard any information circulating on social media.

The Commission emphasized that the dates currently trending on social media platforms are fictitious and advised prospective applicants to rely only on information disseminated through its recognized media platforms. The PSC assured applicants that the authentic examination date would be officially communicated in due course and that successful candidates from the screening exercise would be notified accordingly.

Expressing concern over the misleading information, the Commission has directed the police cyber-crime unit to investigate the source of the false publication and take necessary actions to apprehend and prosecute the culprits. The Commission aims to safeguard the integrity of the recruitment process and protect aspiring Nigerian youths from falling victim to scams.

The fictitious publication claimed that the examination would take place on the 14th of February 2024, with a warning that those without the NPF Recruitment CBT Exam Slip would be barred from participating. The Commission has categorically stated that these directives are not official and should be disregarded.

PSC Spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, urged patience among applicants and assured them that the Commission would provide timely and accurate information. Commission Chairman, IGP Solomon Arase (retd.), cautioned applicants against desperation, emphasizing the need to avoid falling prey to fraudulent individuals exploiting the recruitment process.

Arase highlighted the commitment of the Commission to ensure equal opportunities for all candidates throughout the recruitment stages. He emphasized the significance of successful candidates in contributing to the ongoing efforts against insurgency and banditry, reinforcing the importance of unity and prosperity in Nigeria.

As the recruitment process continues, the Police Service Commission remains steadfast in its dedication to transparency and fairness. The Commission encourages patience and support from the public while warning potential criminals to stay away from exploiting the aspirations of Nigerian youths.
