The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially opened applications for the 2024/2025 Education Bursary Award (EBA) for undergraduate students studying Education-related courses in Nigerian public tertiary institutions.

This initiative, managed by the Federal Ministry of Education through the Federal Scholarship Board, is part of ongoing efforts to support students in the education sector. The award offers ₦150,000 per academic year, renewable until graduation, provided the student maintains satisfactory academic performance.

Overview of the Award

The Education Bursary Award is designed to ease the financial burden on full-time Education students and to encourage more young Nigerians to pursue careers in teaching and academia. It is a yearly scholarship open to eligible students nationwide.

Who Can Apply?

• Be a Nigerian citizen
• Be a full-time student in a recognized public College of Education or University in Nigeria
• Be studying an Education-related course
• Be in their second year or above
• Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship scheme
