
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially announced the commencement of the 2025 recruitment exercise into four major paramilitary agencies in Nigeria. These include the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Correctional Service (NCSS).
The recruitment drive is aimed at filling various positions across multiple cadres and providing job opportunities for qualified Nigerians willing to serve in national security and public safety roles.

General Eligibility Criteria
Applicants interested in joining any of the four agencies must meet the following general requirements:
- Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
- Must possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- Must be between 18 and 30 years old (35 years for medical professionals).
- Must be physically and mentally fit and provide a certificate of medical fitness from a government-approved hospital.
- Must possess the appropriate educational qualifications:
- SSCE/NECO/GCE for entry-level positions.
- NCE/ND/HND/BSc for mid and senior-level positions.
- Must not have a criminal conviction or record.
- Must not be a member of any cult, secret society, or drug-related group.
- Must have good character and effective communication skills.
- Male applicants must be at least 1.65 meters tall; female applicants must be at least 1.60 meters tall.
- Male applicants must have a minimum chest measurement of 0.87 meters.
- Basic computer literacy is considered an added advantage.

1. Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
- Superintendent Cadre: Bachelor’s Degree or HND.
- Inspectorate Cadre: ND or NCE.
- Assistant Cadre: SSCE or equivalent.
2. Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS)
- Superintendent Cadre: Bachelor’s Degree or HND.
- Inspectorate Cadre: ND or NCE.
- Assistant Cadre: SSCE or equivalent.
3. Federal Fire Service (FFS)
- Assistant Superintendent of Fire I & II: Bachelor’s Degree or HND.
- Inspector of Fire: ND or NCE.
- Fire Assistant: SSCE or equivalent.
- Physical and medical fitness are essential due to the emergency response nature of the job.
4. Nigeria Correctional Service (NCSS)
- Superintendent Cadre: Degree in Law, Psychology, Criminology, or other relevant disciplines.
- Inspectorate Cadre: ND or NCE.
- Assistant Cadre: SSCE or its equivalent.
