The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has reportedly begun shortlisting candidates for the upcoming Computer-Based Test (CBT) examination. According to updates circulating online, over 90,000 applicants have been shortlisted from more than 1.9 million Nigerians who applied for various paramilitary positions across the four agencies.
The process is still ongoing, and the list is said to be uploaded gradually on the official recruitment portal. Applicants are therefore advised to check back regularly if they have not yet been able to access their examination slip.

Selection Details and Competition Rate
Out of the total number of applicants, only a fraction will move forward to the examination stage. Reports suggest that approximately 30,000 successful candidates will eventually be selected after the final screening process.
This means each applicant has less than a 5% chance of being shortlisted — showing how competitive the CDCFIB recruitment process is this year.
How to Check and Print Your CDCFIB Examination Slip
If you have applied for any of the agencies under CDCFIB — including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), or Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) — follow the steps below to retrieve and print your examination slip:
Step 1:
Visit the official CDCFIB recruitment portal – https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng/
Step 2:
Enter your National Identification Number (NIN) and registered phone number in the required fields.
Step 3:

If the portal doesn’t load or returns an error, it may be due to ongoing updates. Applicants are advised to try again later as the board continues to upload the shortlist in batches.
Important Notes for Applicants
- Only shortlisted candidates will have access to the exam slip retrieval page.
- The exam slip will contain your venue, date, and time for the CBT.
- Avoid third-party websites or individuals claiming to sell the shortlist or exam slip — all updates are available only on the official CDCFIB portal.
- Ensure that your NIN and phone number are entered correctly to avoid login errors.
Next Steps After Printing Your Exam Slip
Once you’ve successfully printed your slip, keep it safe and bring it to the examination venue along with a valid means of identification. The board is expected to release additional updates regarding the exam schedule, centers, and required materials in the coming days.
Applicants are encouraged to monitor the official CDCFIB website and verified media outlets for any further announcements.
