
A joint operation by the police, army, and vigilantes has successfully rescued 36 farmers abducted by bandits along the Mairairai-Bena Road in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Abubakar, the bandits had ambushed the farmers as they returned from their farms. The security team quickly responded to the incident and engaged the bandits in a gunfight, forcing them to flee into the forest with injuries.
All 36 farmers were rescued unharmed and reunited with their families.
