In a disturbing development in Bauchi, Nigeria, local police have intervened to rescue a five-year-old boy who was reportedly chained and deprived of food for three days by his own father. According to reports from the Bauchi Police Command, the boy, named Hussaini, was found chained inside a room after concerned neighbors alerted the ward head of Gwallagan Mayaka. Hussaini was found in a severely malnourished state and unconscious due to the ordeal he had endured.
SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, spokesperson for the Bauchi Police Command, stated that during interviews, Hussaini revealed he had been restrained by his father, Abubakar Nuhu alias Wanzam, without food for three days. The father justified his actions, claiming he did so to prevent his son from stealing valuables belonging to their neighbors.
