Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
- Not be currently studying in China.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old (for master’s applicants) or a master’s degree and under 40 years old (for PhD applicants).
- Demonstrate excellent academic performance.

For Master’s Degree Applicants:
- Completed Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form (via CSC portal: www.csc.edu.cn).
- Notarized undergraduate degree certificate.
- Full undergraduate transcripts.
- Study and research plan (minimum 800 words in English or Chinese).
- Two letters of recommendation from associate professors or higher.
- List and abstracts of published papers (if available).
- Valid ordinary passport copy.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Record (download from CSC website).
For Doctoral Degree Applicants:
- Completed application form (via CSC Online Registration System: http://laihua.csc.edu.cn).
- Notarized master’s degree certificate.
- Full master’s transcripts.
- Study and research plan (minimum 800 words).
- Two letters of recommendation from associate professors or above.
- List and abstracts of published papers.
- Valid passport copy.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Record.
HSK Certificate Requirement:
Applicants must submit an HSK certificate. Those without a Chinese language background are required to undertake a one-year Chinese language course and must pass the examination before starting professional studies.
