Super Falcons star Ngozi Okobi has joyfully announced the birth of her first child. The former Elskiltun of Sweden midfielder shared the exciting news on Tuesday through her X (formerly Twitter) account, expressing gratitude and happiness.
“Congratulations to me. #godbepraised #iamamother #newmom. I am in my new season # Okobi NSPPD,” she captioned, along with photos showcasing her baby bump.

Okobi and her husband, Okeoghene, tied the knot on December 9, 2017, in Delta State. Despite her marriage, the talented footballer continued her career for nearly seven years before welcoming their new addition.
Okobi boasts an impressive international career, representing Nigeria at numerous prestigious tournaments. She competed in the 2010 U-17 Women’s World Cup, the 2010 WAFCON, the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, as well as the 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2022 WAFCON tournaments. Additionally, she featured in the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
