Tinubu Approves Housing Construction in Kebbi, Kaduna, and Some Other Northern States

President Bola Tinubu has given the green light for housing construction projects in Kebbi, Kaduna, and some other Northern states, marking a significant step towards development and stability in these regions.

This decision was announced during the commissioning of various projects by the Borno State Government in the last 100 days. The ambitious housing plan, unveiled by the Office of the Vice President through Mr. Olusola Abiola, the Director of Information, is part of the Federal Government’s comprehensive strategy to address enduring conflicts in Northern Nigeria.

President Tinubu’s commitment to this initiative is evident in the allocation of N50 billion to kick-start the Pulaku initiative, a non-kinetic solution aimed at resolving crises in the northwest region, through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

These projects extend beyond housing, encompassing essential facilities such as schools, clinics, veterinary clinics, and ranches. These provisions are specifically designed to benefit the Fulani community in Kaduna and Benue states, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity to ensure that all conflict victims are considered.
