WAEC Introduces WASSCE PC1 Resit Exams for January and February 2025

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has launched an innovative program to help students improve their academic performance faster. The new initiative, called WASSCE PC1, will allow candidates to retake their West African Senior Secondary Examinations (WASSCE) papers as early as January and February 2025.

This groundbreaking development was confirmed by WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, John Kapi, during an interview on Ghana’s JoyNews AM Show.

What Is WASSCE PC1?

WASSCE PC1 is a specialized resit examination program designed for candidates who wish to improve their grades in one or two subjects without waiting for the next annual WASSCE cycle.

Students can register online via the official WAEC website or at WAEC-accredited internet cafés starting 8th January 2025. The exams will run from 24th January to 15th February 2025 in designated regional capitals due to the limited number of candidates.
