The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD), has officially announced a new payment date for Batch A beneficiaries of the Youth Entrepreneurship and Investment Development Empowerment Programme (YEIDEP). Each qualified participant is expected to receive a grant of ₦500,000 to support their entrepreneurial journey.

This announcement is part of the government’s commitment to transparency, effective coordination, and timely delivery of empowerment funds to Nigerian youths across the country.

The Federal Ministry of Youth Development has released the following updated schedule for YEIDEP activities:

Step 1: Application Closes – August 31, 2025
The online application portal will remain open until Saturday, 31st August 2025. Interested and eligible youths are encouraged to apply before the deadline. Late applications will not be accepted.

Step 2: Collation of Beneficiaries’ Account Details – September 1 to 10, 2025
From 1st to 10th September 2025, the Ministry will collate bank account details of shortlisted beneficiaries. This process is necessary to ensure that payments are processed accurately and without delay.

Step 3: Engagement with Beneficiaries – September 11 to October 11, 2025
Engagement and onboarding of beneficiaries will take place between 11th September and 11th October 2025. During this period, participants will undergo orientation sessions covering entrepreneurship development, financial literacy, and expectations for the grant usage.

Step 4: Disbursement of ₦500,000 Grant to Batch A – October 20 to 30, 2025
Batch A beneficiaries will begin receiving their ₦500,000 grant between 20th and 30th October 2025. This marks the official kick-off of the financial empowerment phase of the YEIDEP programme.

The YEIDEP grant is targeted at Nigerian youths between the ages of 18 and 35 who either have a business idea or an existing small business. The initiative aims to reduce unemployment, stimulate entrepreneurship, and promote inclusive economic growth.

According to the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, only applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and submitted complete applications will be selected for funding. Beneficiaries are urged to ensure their contact information and bank details are correct to avoid disqualification or payment delay.
