
The Sokoto State Government has officially announced the commencement of its 2025 recruitment exercise for Community Health Workers, calling on qualified indigenes to submit applications through the state’s dedicated online portal. The initiative forms part of the government’s commitment to strengthening primary healthcare delivery across all local government areas.
According to the Recruitment Committee, the application portal will open on Monday, 24 November 2025, and will close on Saturday, 6 December 2025. Eligible candidates are advised to complete their applications within this period, as the portal will not accept entries after the deadline.
To qualify for the recruitment, applicants must be Sokoto State indigenes with a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) Diploma or a Junior Community Health Extension Worker (JCHEW) Certificate. The state government emphasized that the recruitment process will be conducted strictly through the official portal to ensure transparency and fairness.
How to Apply
The Sokoto State Government has provided clear instructions to guide applicants through the online registration process:
1. Visit the Official Portal
Applicants must go to https://chworkers.sokotostate.gov.ng, the only authorized portal for this recruitment.
2. Create an Account
Click on “Start Application” and register using a valid email address and active phone number.
3. Complete the Application Form
Fill in all biodata and required personal information accurately. Incorrect details may lead to disqualification.

4. Upload All Required Documents
Applicants must upload clear scanned copies of the following documents:
- Educational Certificates
- Notification of Registration and Current Practising Licence (CHPRBN)
- Proof of Indigene
- Birth Certificate
- NIN Slip
- Passport photograph taken during the online application
5. Select Your LGA and Ward of Origin
Candidates are required to choose only their authentic Local Government Area and Ward of Origin. Selecting a different LGA is not allowed and may invalidate the application.
6. Submit Your Application
After completing all sections and uploading the required documents, applicants should review their information before final submission.
Free of Charge
The state government stressed that the recruitment process is completely free, urging applicants not to pay anyone claiming to offer assistance or influence the process.
Shortlisting and Notification
Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email addresses or through announcements on the recruitment portal. Additional details regarding screening, verification, or tests will be communicated officially by the committee.
